The late Aaron Spelling is known for introducing a generation of teens to such primetime classics as Beverly Hills, 90210, and Melrose Place, as well as a long list of other hit shows and high-grossing movies over the years. His home just outside of Los Angeles, California, “The Manor,” is considered one of the world’s 10 most expensive properties.

While the style of the house and its specific amenities are important, most of the points you should consider surround the location of the luxury real estate. No matter whether your focus is to settle down for a long time or find a property that is sure to hold its value so you can sell eventually, location is the prime deciding factor for what luxury home you will buy.

Antilla isn’t your ordinary home, even by billionaire standards. It’s an entire building – a 27-storey skyscraper – with a highly unique and ultra-modern design. Some floors are open, with expansive terraces, greenery, and other unique features.

Also, acreage is important not only in your personal enjoyment but in the value of the luxury real estate. To be considered an estate, generally an acre parcel of land is the minimum amount required to be considered an estate rather than a nice home with some land.

The second factor of a luxury real estate’s location is the economy. By choosing Silicon Valley as your location for finding prime luxury real estate, you will appreciate one of the best economies in the country.

Everything the Ambani’s could possibly want or need is located in Antilla. This includes a hospital on the ninth floor in case someone in the family, staff, or one of the guests falls ill or needs medical attention.

Going up another floor, you’ll find the tenth and eleventh floors are also dedicated to good health. These floors contain a health club, swimming pools, and other athletic facilities. The next series of floors contains two-storey guest apartments that are fully decked out with huge kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms, balconies, and much more. Finally, the next four floors of the building will be where the Ambani’s will live. This is where the building’s luxury truly makes itself known. Priceless artwork, marble, granite, gold and every other high-class material imagined was used to make these four floors as extravagant as they could be.

Shortly after Aaron Spelling’s death in 2006 from complications resulting from a stroke, The Manor was sold for $130-million instead of going to his daughter, Tori, like many had speculated. The proud owner is an Arabian prince. As one of the largest private residences not only in the United States but in the entire world, The Manor repeatedly receives recognition and has been featured on television and in various magazines, including Forbes.
