Condos are the next big thing in the metropolitan area. It has its own advantages over apartments and other living establishments. Condos are usually rent to own. So, after you have paid all the rent then it is now yours unlike apartments where you need to pay the rent for the rest of your life.

However, this should not be your only basis for getting a condo for yourself. There are still things you need to look for and you need to check out before you consider living in a condo. It might be very tempting for you but there are requirements.

Check the entire history of the building. Not only will you have an information on how stable the building is, you will also get a glimpse on what came in here first and would largely affect your decision whether you want to stay there for the rest of your life or not.

You also need to find if there are any security personnel outside and inside the building. It should be a requirement for you before you live in a place. No one wants to live a place where you and your property is unprotected.

Check out the building’s parking lot if there are any. Do not assume that every building has their own parking lot. Ask if there are any parking space available for your car as well as for others whom you might invite for a party or any other occasion. Ask if you can check out the parking lot too.

The same thing goes for pets. If you have a pet, try asking if it is okay if pets are allowed in the area. There might be rules and regulations against pets inside the area. Try asking for a brief explanation of the rules and regulations or you can check out the authentic rules yourself. You also need to ask if you can do some renovation inside the condo if possible.

Check the documents. Always read and understand everything before you sign the document. Have it checked by a lawyer if you have difficulties understanding some statements.
