Escape The Winters – Five Sarasota, Florida Condos

Have you ever wondered why so many people visit Florida during the winter time? It is pretty obvious – people trade the snow, clouds, ice and cold weather for sun, beaches, golf and tennis.

Have you ever been to Sarasota, Florida? If not you should consider this fabulous beach town. There are several barrier islands where you can walk along the beach, swim in the Gulf of Mexico, play several fabulous golf courses, dine in tasty restaurants, shop until your heart is content and soak up the gorgeous Florida sunshine. What a wonderful way to spend the winters. Why shovel snow and fight the bitter cold weather when you can spend the winter months affordably in Florida.

Off the coast of Sarasota, Florida are several fabulous barrier islands – Longboat Key, Lido Key, Siesta Key, Bird Key and Casey Key. All of them offer gorgeous beaches, abundance of outdoor activity, a variety of Sarasota real estate and a highly sought after quality of life. Here are five great Sarasota, Florida condos to escape the harsh cold winters of the northern United States:

1) Sunset Beach – This is a great beach front condo on Longboat Key. There are 64 units within these 3 buildings on the south end of the island. The great thing about this location is the easy access to golf, tennis, St. Armands Circle, Longboat Key beach and all of the amenities of Sarasota, Florida. Sunset Beach allows a minimum of 2 month rentals.

2) Sea Gate Club – The water and beach views are magnificent from this Longboat Key condo. The entire building is parallel to the beach so all unit have breathtaking views. Located on the south end of Longboat Key Sea Gate Club is convenient to all of the amenities of the island as well as St. Armands Circle and Sarasota. Here you have to rent for a 3 month minimum.

3) Gulf and Bay Club – Sitting directly on the white powdery sands of the famous Siesta Key sits the Gulf and Bay Club condos. These offer a fabulous location and views. Siesta Key beach was recently named the 2nd prettiest beach in the United States. You are within footsteps of this natural beauty. The rental policy is a little more flexible here with only a one month minimum lease required.

4) Dolphin Bay – Looking for a newer community to spend the winter? This 50 unit Siesta Key condo was built in 1997 and many of them have mouthwatering views of the Sarasota bay. The Siesta Key beach access is almost right across the street. People enjoy the high ceilings, large windows and newer feel. The minimum rental period is 3 months.

5) Key Tower South – Do not forget about Lido Key. This smaller but highly sought after barrier island is simply gorgeous. It is the closest key to downtown Sarasota and the airport. Key Tower South sits directly on the beach and all of the units facing west have breathtaking views of the water. Access to the beach is within a few footsteps right out the back door. Vacationers can rent a Key Tower South unit with a one month minimum lease. However, you may want to stay longer.
