Fall is all about renewal and rebirth. It is the perfect season for doing away with the old things of the past in exchange for something new that’s more exciting. This should also be our perspective during the customary general cleaning which is perfect for this season.

Famous interior designers stand by the use of plants in filling out spaces where qi is not present, whether it’s the quantity or quality of it. This holds true for offices and homes. For instance, a room’s sharp corner, usually the area of sha qi, needs to be modified in some way. This is in order for the vital qi to flourish. Even so, extra care must be done in these situations because a mislaid indoor plant can cause more harm. It can hamper the movement of qi.

Amongst many things that need to be organized, it is but logical to de-clutter the fridge first and foremost. Just follow these simple steps. Prioritize expired food or if they’re nearly expired. You don’t want to risk chewing on decaying matter. If it doesn’t say so on the label, you can try to sniff it to determine if spoilage has already begun. If you cannot determine this, toss it just the same. All of us have items that we purchase but seem to forget they’re sitting there. If you hardly use it or never used it, get rid of it. It means that it’s not necessary for your well-being and happiness, so it only takes space. Don’t save your expensive Japanese mayo even if it’s still half full but you only use it once a month. This holds true for other bottled goods as well. Empty these bottles and try to re-use them. Better yet, find a recycling center near you. Practice your Feng Shui and save the environment.

Your next priority could be your kitchen cupboards. Everyone hates clutter. It’s very difficult to function at a 100% when you’re surrounded by it. But don’t worry, having some clutter around doesn’t equate to having a cluttered mind or troubled life. It just means that your human and sometimes certain circumstances in our lives need to be prioritized over cleaning up. What is wrong is letting it be when is obviously an opportunity to organize and clean up. But if you don’t plan to make the time to do so, it may never happen. In life and living our living it can be best said that we can only postpone this only temporarily to make room for urgent matters, cleaning can take a backseat. However, if you make this a habit clutter can turn out to be another emergency. So, find time to do it slowly. You can start at a shelf per day. Again, toss out what you don’t need. Store what you do not use often and group together commonly used items. You’ll be stress-free if you follow these suggestions.

Obviously, we have the Money Plant (Dracaena). It is part of the evergreen family and promises to shower wealth and long life. The Impala Lily (Advenium obesum) is the flower of prosperity and wealth. It is advisable to position this plant in your living room space or place of business. Various Cacti ward off evil spirits so that your good qi is not disturbed in that space. The Chili plant is for wealth and growth. During Chinese New Year, people also bring plum blossoms to brighten up their homes because these are considered lucky as well.
