Dr. Michael Yaron, PhD., is well known and widely respected in the greater Philadelphia and Delaware Valley region. He is some what of a legend in the local business community. His business empire stretches as far south as Miami, Florida and expands through the Philadelphia and New Jersey regions in to New York City and beyond.
Dr. Yaron was born in Israel, where he grew up and had a happy child hood by all accounts. As a youth, he served in the fierce Israeli Defense Force. He received a high honorable status as an officer with the Israeli army before leaving the country to pursue higher education goals in England and the United States.
He earned a Bachelors in Sciences Degree from Miami University in Southern Florida. Later, he was awarded a master’s in chemical engineering by the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. Finally, he holds a PhD from Oxford University in London, the oldest university in the western world.
The traits he picked up as an officer during his war time Israeli army service have carried through with him to become part of his business life. His tenacity and persistence have served him well as his aggressive property development empire have expanded through a series of hard negotiated deals in New York, Philadelphia, Florida and New Jersey.
Yaron Property Management is a global enterprise that oversees properties in the New York, Philadelphia, New Jersey and Florida markets. As a principal of that company, the doctor mainly concentrates on asset management and construction management. He also handles some of the property management tasks and duties.
Oxford Property Management, Inc., was also founded as an outgrowth of the first company. The difference is that while the first company may hire anyone, Oxford is a union company that only hires union workers. It also subcontracts work to union trades people. This allows the company to operate more easily in the political environment of New York City and Philadelphia.
Recently, Yaron and seven others were indicted by a federal grand jury. The February 2011 indictment ordered large restitution payments for damages. It was found that one of the property management companies had paid kick backs to an official at New York Presbyterian hospital for asbestos removal contracts there.
Doctor Michael Yaron, PhD, has a son named Jarred. Jarred serves as Chief executive officer of the family business and has an angel investor fund. He attended Columbia University and is now pursuing his goal of success as an entrepreneur.
