You may not know, but you can stop foreclosure even when you have already set the sale date. But then after the sale date has been established you are literally running against time and the clock is ticking.
Check out how much time you have on hand from the next minute until the date set for the sale. You will get an idea of how much time you have to complete the things required to be done.
You will need to go through the foreclosure rules and regulations that are applicable to your State. The rules will specify the schedule of actions required from your end with the timelines and specified dates for each activity. Once you have gone through the same, you will know with the timeline available, whether you are in a position to meet the deadlines or not.
Now that you have established sale date, it doesn’t matter you can still re consider your options and evaluate if you wish to stop foreclosure sale and check out if it is still possible.
Foreclosure sale need not be your only option. You might have some other alternative arrangements that are possible to bail you out of your financial problems. Try talking to your mortgage company on what is possible and if you haven’t done it already, then make an appointment to see them right away without wasting time.
Though you do have an option of seeking bankruptcy declaration under Chapter 13, it may not be an easy option to do so and stop foreclosure without talking to the company.
Everything depends upon your ability to be able to service your mortgage loan payments and have sufficient money to meet your home expenses. If this is not possible, then it may be more practical to give up your home for the time being and go ahead with foreclosure sale.
This can be very difficult for everyone to give up home and live in other places. But then like many others you will come out of your financial problems in a short while and then once again you will be able to save up enough money to buy another dream home for yourself and your family. It might take a while to get there, but it will surely happen.
