Reno has a population of just about 225,500 people and is the fourth most densely inhabited city in the state of Nevada behind Las Vegas, Henderson, and North Las Vegas. Nevada’s liberal tax structures, along with Reno’s free port status and central location in the West, also make the area an important regional warehouse and distribution center.

There’s no friendlier environment for the entrepreneur than Reno office space. From its early history as a key stop along the California Trail and epicenter of the Comstock Lode, Greater Reno-Tahoe was literally founded on entrepreneurship. That spirit remains today and the growth of Greater Reno-Tahoe has opened up a wide range of possibilities for businesses new to the area.

Office space in Reno is rich with financing opportunities, from traditional banks and credit unions to venture capital firms and networks. The area’s variety of top-tier internet connectivity providers allows for technology-dependent companies to operate without a hitch.

Nevada ranks #2 in “Expansion Management’s” “Legislative Quotient” rating of States on their attitudes toward business; Reno ranks #5 in Entrepreneur Magazine’s ranking of best small cities for business; a Grant Thornton accounting study shows that a manufacturer doing 4 million in annual sales with 50 employees will have a 33% tax savings annually by operating in Reno/Sparks vs. Los Angeles and tourism provides in excess of 45% of taxes to state and local government, lessening the impact on industrial users.

Submarkets to find Reno office space include Downtown, South Meadows, Meadowood, Central Reno and the Airport Submarket.
