Some of the older houses are a real thing to admire and here are some of the most popular.

Doddington

Doddington Hall is one the most picturesque country houses in Cheshire. It is situated in Doddington Park in the civil parish of Doddington. Built for Rev. Sir Thomas Broughton between the years 1777 and 1798 and designed by Samuel Wyatt. The house was built as a replacement for another house called Delwar which is situated to the north of Doddington. The hall follows the neoclassical style with the prominent feature of the entrance consisting of 9 bays.

Doddington Hall

Taking over 20 years to build between 1777 and 1798 Doddington hall situated in the civil parish of Doddington was designed by Samuel Wyatt. Originally a replacement for another house called Delware which is situated close by. Bigger in size than Belmont consisting of 9 bays it radiates the neoclassical style with the entrance being prominent like this.

Belmont Hall

Probably the most popular with tourists because of its situation the hall is owned by Warrington Borough council and designed by Edmund Sharpe the house was built in just two years in the 1830s. Since the original building the landscape of the building has changed. 30 years after the building of Walton , an extra east wing was built to host more guests and billiard rooms along with this a clock tower was built but nowadays since the depletion of the once new east wing the clock tower now stands solitary. The situation of the house is popular as it is close to tourist attractions such as Chester zoo a pitch and putt, trails and an exhibition centre. Walton is definitely one of the most impressive country houses in Cheshire.
