There are many fabulous things to partake in during your Lake Tahoe vacation. No matter what the group size, a couple or entire family, there is always plenty of activities for everyone. Outdoor adventure enthusiasts can hike along the many trails during the warm spring and summer months.

One fabulous destination in the Tahoe area is Sand Harbor State Park which is located on the north shores. The park is full of many amazing sights and lots of adventure. Sand Harbor has a beautiful sandy beach on the eastern shore of the lake where visitors can picnic and launch boats during the warm summer months. There are also several hiking trails and walking paths for those individuals who enjoy such activities.

Tahoe City, located on the California border, has a variety of whitewater rafting tours that provide trained guides and all of the equipment needed for an amazing raft ride over the rapids. There are tours for the novice rafters and for those who are much more experienced.

The lake has many other activities to offer visitors during the winter months. Many people enjoy participating in one of the snowmobiling tours. Guides are available or there are snowmobile rentals for those who wish to explore on their own. Some people even choose to bring machines from home.

One of the most popular activities during the winter months is skiing. The mountains have several slopes and trails to go down for those who are experienced in the sport. Individuals who are new to the sport can take lessons with a professional instructor.

People come from all parts of the wold to see Lake Tahoe. No matter what the activity, there is plenty of fun to be had during your Lake Tahoe vacations.
