Simply put, it’s absolutely a great time. We have all seen the economic situation looks bleak. But as far as buying a new home, we have just come off of the home buyers tax break. That ended in April and an awful lot of property was written and closed during some hectic months to meet the deadlines. Venice FL Property for example is slashed to absolute rock bottom pricing.
This caused a big drop off of home sales in July. So now we are back to a “normal” housing market and in the town I live in Venice, FL. The pricing is incredibly low and the selection is wonderful.
This is, in my opinion about the very bottom of the home market. This is a market that was made for home buyer’s dreams to come true. If you are thinking about retirement or a second home, and want to enjoy Florida’s amazing climate, golfing, fishing or just going for a walk on the beach every morning now is the time.
Buyers right now in Florida’s real estate markets are looking for maintenance free condos and homes in a community that caters to their lifestyle choices. The features they want are pools, tennis courts and exercise facilities on premise. Basically everything they need to maximize their leisure time to its fullest.
The interest rates are historically low. There is an advantage of locking in a price on a home in a depressed market. Then living in the home or enjoying it seasonally at 4.5 percent. These are the days when, in 5 or 10 years people will be saying “I remember when I could have bought that home for that price and had a low fixed rate mortgage”
Right now there is a abundance of real estate product available, totally different styles of homes to select from. You can get anything you like at a bargain, maintenance free homes, villas, townhouses, condos, take your pick. Maybe you want to step out your front door and play golf, a condo on the beach to just jump in the water from. If you chose to get a home in Venice Florida, it’s all possible, every day.
One of the things I so much enjoy about Venice is the incredibly diverse lifestyle options you can make and enjoy here. These lifestyle choices are directly reflected in the communities and home options available that help you live how you like to live. You could get a condo in a tennis club, and work on that backhand every day. You could plan for the future and get a home located in a retirement community where there are daily activities to participate in and services that you might need. Right now almost every lifestyle option is available and for the first time, at every budget level. Combine those wonderful factors, sunny weather and beautiful beaches, what’s not to love?
Don’t be one of those people that sit around wishing they had taken action when the time was right. Interest rates and home prices will not get any lower than this. We all wish we had bought some APPLE stock when it was at $10 bucks a share right?
This opportunity will not last forever, that’s the nature of opportunity. Baby boomers are at or right before retirement age and will be looking at the unheard of deals in Florida today and moving to claim the best deals. Supply always catches up with demand in the end. Real estate in Florida is no exception. Today the weather while I write this it is 78 degrees with a light ocean breeze coming off the ocean in my condo, my advice is, come give year round living in Florida a try, you just might love it!
